Featherston Sofa

Built to the exact specifications as the original, blending all of the soft comfort and functionality of the original 1951 Contour Chair with the communality and dramatic impact of a sofa. Stretched to almost a metre and a half, large enough to fit at least two people, it is perfect for a stylish mid-century living room or lounge, while the range of vibrant cashmere colours allow it to fit almost any decor. The Contour Sofa is a true design legend.

The story behind the Grant Featherston Sofa

First released in 1951 to complete the full Grant Featherston living room set, paired with one or two Contour Chairs, the Contour Sofa was the legendary Aussie's largest and most communal furniture offering. Seeking to make larger pieces that lost none of their panache, organic form and comfort, after many rejected designs, he hit upon a very simple formula. He simply took his most popular design and tweaked the dimensions to devastating effect, creating one of his most celebrated designs in the process.
